Chart Reproductions: Portfolios or Single Charts
BCP reproduces charts custom to your needs. We copy on demand and our turnaround varies seasonally, weekly, and daily. Our busiest time is the first quarter of every year. We utilize the highest quality state of the art printers available in the marketplace. Our chart reproductions are of current edition charts, heaviest weight paper in the industry and the clearest darkest print available. Turnaround time can vary from same day service to five working days. Check your email for estimated shipping time.

E-Charts & Software
BCP stocks a wide variety of E-charts from numerous vendors. We generally ship the same day or up to three business days from the date your order is confirmed. Check your email for order confirmation and estimated shipping date. Use accurate departure dates to avoid unnecessary shipping costs.

Cruising Guides
BCP stocks all the popular titles of a given geographic area. We generally ship within 24-48 hours of order confirmation. If we are out of stock, most publications are available within 48 hours, and a few may take about three days. Check your email for order confirmation and estimated shipping date.

Government Publications
BCP attempts to stock most government publications that are available and generally desired by cruising yachts. Many government publications are now being converted to GPO (Government Printing Office) for publication. GPO prices their pubs. by the pound, therefore Sailing Directions presently very from $22.50 to $45.00 (they used to be all the same price). Needless to say the government publications availability and prices are a mess. Some pubs. have unknown reprint dates and may be out of print for months. We may provide an aftermarket private publication of same or better quality than GPO, at the same or lower price. Check your email for order confirmation and estimated shipping date.

Flags
Our Flags are custom sewn to very high standards. We need ten working days advance notice prior to shipping flags. Check your email for order confirmation and estimated shipping date.

Departure Date
What does BCP mean by “Departure Date”? We mean the date you will be leaving the location to which the products are being sent. It is important to use a realistic date, If you really aren’t leaving for three weeks and you put down five days you’ll have to pay airfreight unnecessarily. We have been in business for almost 26 years and have extensive experience shipping worldwide. We will quote you an estimated shipping date and shipping time on all time vital orders. If necessary, we can ship to alternative locations throughout the world in order to make your timing needs work. We have a huge database of addresses, marinas, and chandlers who may be of assistance.

Returns
BCP attempts in every sale to be certain the products ordered are exactly what the customer desires. You tell us what you want. As mentioned previously we print on demand, custom to your needs. Since the charts requested are personal to your needs we do not accept returns. We will gladly exchange products, which may be defective, only after you correspond with us and receive an official Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from BCP prior to their return. The RMA will have specific terms. Software and E-charts are also only returnable if defective for exchange. The only warranties for Software and E-charts are those of the manufacturer (both are not returnable unless defective, and then only for a replacement per the manufacturer’s terms and a preauthorized RMA from BCP). You must obtain an RMA as stated above prior to any exchange of merchandise. Flags are sewn custom too, and are therefore only returnable for exchange if defective, again only after obtaining an RMA. All other merchandise, which may be returned only with an RMA and must be 100% resalable as new. Miscellaneous merchandise returned after an RMA is approved by BCP will be subject to a re-stocking charge as appropriate. BCP has been in business for almost 26 years and our policy is to provide you with quality services unique to your needs. We ship daily worldwide to many repeat customers. Most of our services are custom to your cruise; therefore, some of our products are not readily resalable and will become stale rapidly, due to dated material.

DUTIES & TAXES:

Washington State Sales Tax
Shipments within the State of Washington will be subject to Washington State Sales tax unless we receive a copy of a valid driver’s liscence from: Alaska, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, New Hampshire, Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, Yukon and Alberta.

Foreign Shipments
Many nations do not charge duty, taxes, advancement fees, brokerage fees or other related charges for “vessels in transit”. Vessels traveling in a nation of which their yacht is not registered typically do not pay the above fees if they are "in transit" and the goods are not for resale. Goods are generally considered "ships spares". There are exceptions to this, therefore the prudent yachtsman should check out the requirements on duty and tax fees with their local Custom's Office prior to ordering. If Imposed, you are responsible for all duty, taxes, advancement fees, brokerage fees or other related fees. Bellingham Chart Printers/Tides End Ltd. is not responsible for any duties, taxes or related fees. We find many nations inconsistent in the administration of duties and taxes. You may have to stand your ground in some instances, but if duties and taxes are assessed they are your responsibility. If Bellingham Chart Printers/Tides End Ltd. is assessed on our account any duty, taxes, advancement fees, brokerage fees or other related fees we will bill your credit card for these costs and charge an additional $75 handling fee.

If your vessel is registered in the nation in which you are receiving your merchandise, duty, tax or other related fees, if imposed, will be your (the recipient's) responsibility. It is the customers’ obligation to pay any and all duties, taxes and related fees at the time their package is delivered.
