Bellingham Chart Printers (BCP) discounts most Electronic and Digital Navigational Charts. We represent: Maptech, C-Map, Nobeltec Passport World Charts, Transas, Navionics, NetSea MapMedia, NDI, and CYC (Caribbean navigation charts).

Electronic navigational charts are available for GPS units, Chart Plotters, Radar or PC's. BCP discounts both types of Electronic digital nautical charts, in most cases. We either offer the electronic chart cartridges for your Chart Plotter or CD-ROM's for your PC.

Digital charts on CD-ROM are available in both Raster and Vector images. These nautical electronic charts offer full-color viewing and include all the navigational information that you find on traditional paper navigation charts: depth contours and soundings, navigational aides, land contours, reference points, some include geo-referenced aerial photographs, many interface with Radar and GPS, etc. The Vector Charts offer the ability to manage and manipulate the images found on the paper nautical chart. The vessel's course, projected course, ETA and cross track error are also displayed in real time. Set and drift can be automatically computed, as well as the graphical presentation of tides and currents right on screen; without disrupting navigation. Celestial almanacs, star finders, sight reduction, light lists, port indexes and chart locators may also be part of the package.

Electronic chart cartridges for Chart Plotters, GPS receivers, and Radar units are all in Vector image format. These electronic devices talk to each other and offer a convenient way to navigate. Chart Plotters are generally viewed as a good alternative for vessels under 40'. The PC based charting systems become more attractive in larger vessels and offer the same features as Plotters and more.
